Our view
The businesses we back usually have one thing in common: something that is genuinely hard to copy. That might be proprietary technology, a data advantage, a licence, a distribution route or deep experience of the problem being solved.
We invest from pre-seed through to expansion. Earlier stages are selective and depend heavily on the team and the evidence. At growth stage, we look for repeatable revenue and a clear plan for what the capital will do.
What we look for
- A founder or team with direct experience of the problem
- A product that works, with evidence customers value it
- An advantage others cannot easily copy
- A clear use of funds tied to measurable milestones
- Valuation expectations that match the stage
- Openness during due diligence

What we avoid
- Businesses whose main plan is to raise the next round
- Concepts with no realistic route to revenue
- Regulated activities without the permissions in place or underway
- Opportunities we cannot assess properly within our expertise
How a deal comes together
Most venture investments begin with a short introduction, followed by a call with the founders and a request for a defined set of information: financials, product evidence, the cap table and the plan for the round. If we proceed, terms are agreed before full due diligence, and we stay close to the business after completion.
Questions
Do you invest at pre-seed?
Selectively. Pre-seed is most likely where there is proprietary technology, a patent or a founding team with deep experience of the market.
How much do you invest?
It depends on the stage, the structure and the opportunity. Tell us what you are raising and how it will be used, and we will tell you early whether it fits.
Do you take a board seat?
Where it helps the business. Governance rights are agreed case by case and in proportion to the investment.
Will you sign an NDA before I send details?
Not at first contact. Send a non-confidential summary. If there is a fit, confidentiality is arranged before detailed materials are shared.
